Easter Appeal 2024:
Help Us Spread Joy in the Black Country!

This Easter, Santa's Black Country Toy Appeal is on a mission to bring smiles and joy to children across the Black Country who might otherwise go without. With over 104,000 children facing poverty in our region, the need has never been greater.

Why Easter Eggs? 🍫 Easter eggs symbolise new life and hope, and we believe every child deserves to experience joy and happiness, especially during festive seasons. Our Easter appeal aims to collect and distribute Easter eggs to children in need, ensuring they too can enjoy the magic of Easter.

How Can You Help? 🤝

  1. Become a Supporter: Join us in making a difference. Every egg, every donation, and every volunteer hour counts.
  2. Donate Easter Eggs: Drop off your Easter egg donations at our designated points across the Black Country. Visit our website for a full list of drop-off locations.
  3. Spread the Word: Share this post and tell your friends and family about our Easter appeal. The more people know, the more children we can reach.

Our Impact: đź’– Thanks to the incredible support from our community, donors, and volunteers, we've brought smiles to countless children across the Black Country. Featured on the BBC for our efforts, we're proud of the difference we're making. But there's still more to do.

R.I.P. Steve the original Sweet Pea

Steve was a volunteer for 35 years, supporting Dudley Hospital Radio and then  the Children’s Ward at Russells Hall Hospital.  He was also a volunteer for Dudley CVS for many years, driving our minibuses around the borough offering the elderly and disabled an opportunity to enjoy social activities. His warm personality and sense of humour…

Another day and another miracle! @ProspectCoaches ‏

So yesterday we had an emergency as we could not secure a coach to get a school to the Court House for their free Christmas lunch.  I was tearing my hair out, the elves were helping and I think we tried every coach company in the area, plus appeals on Facebook. A huge thank you…

This week has been a rollercoaster! We are their last hope!!

Wow what a week it’s been.  We’ve had highs such as over 2000 donations and we are now at 7788, lots of very grateful organisations collecting toys and gifts for children and young people who would otherwise get NOTHING for Christmas.  Sorted out some panto tickets for January with the lovely Deb from Brierley Hill…

Phew what a week of donations!

We have had lots of lovely donations and yesterday was some kind of record I think!  Had two van loads of goodies from Lee [Volks Magic] and Billy the Elf, then Brett and the Blaze Angels went on a secret mission and returned with 7 cars full of items from a high street retailer, before…

The boys went BIG and thank you Smyths Toys

A huge, huge thank you to the amazing group of guys who fundraise for Operation Santa all year and do an ENORMOUS toy shop at Smyths Toys each year.  They also fund a huge Christmas Party for 100 local children with a full Christmas lunch and entertainment too. What a bunch of absolute stars. Today…

Whoop whoop we are ending the week on a high again

What a wonderful week this has been. Grotto fully up and operational, with the elves wrapping grotto presents and the first groups coming to collect toys for children and young people.  We are up to 4164 donations now which is fabulous:)

Our youngest supporter Jack is back again

Little Jack Hale is very special and he has supported Operation Santa before, so when his Mum told us he’d dropped of his presents to Blaze Hair it was a lovely surprise, along with a little note. I think he’s a star and it’s so sweet that a little one wants to help other children…

Gentleman Geoff is always in our hearts

I was devastated to learn that Geoff Hill had passed away a few weeks ago.  He was a true gent and I first met him in 2000 when I started at Dudley CVS.  As I became involved with Operation Santa I saw more of him and grew to love this passion for making a difference,…

Today has been one of those amazing days that really lifts your spirits and it’s definitely in my top ten Operation Santa days ever! Started the day at Grotto HQ sorting some lovely donations which had come and I found something I believed had been lost forever, so it was going really well. Then Lee…

Good homes required for pre-loved toys and cuddlies please

Can you please help us find good homes for pre-loved toys, particularly cuddly toys and also books? We have lots donated each year for our appeal and in the past it’s been easy to re-home them as several local charities are grateful to receive them. Unfortunately this year for various reasons, we cannot find anyone…
